Every October we begin collecting non-perishable food items to be distributed to women ex-offenders and their families in need of support.

Food Collection Etiquette:

	Donate items that you enjoy.
	Check the “use before” date.
	Wrap glass items separately, to avoid breakage.
	Donate unopened, sealed items only.

Toy-rific Treasure Box
Every October we begin collecting toys for the children of women
ex-offenders. Toys for newborn children to teenagers. The “Toy-rific Treasure Box” is filled with loads of love, warmth, cheer and playthings. The toys are distributed during our Annual Stepping In the Right Direction Holiday Celebration.

	Consider safety first, when purchasing toys.
	Donate unopened, sealed items only.

Stepping Towards Success Clothing Closet
Interested in donating new or nearly new clothing/shoes/accessories? Our clients are always in need of clothing during transitional phases. We collect and distribute professional garments to women ex-offenders who are newly employed or actively seeking employment.

Clothing/Shoes/Accessories Collection Etiquette:

	Donate professional attire.
	Donate clean clothing.
	Donate items you consider appealing.

Steps to a Healthier Lifestyle
Breast Cancer Walk in recognition of women ex-offenders who are battling cancer and those who have died as a result of this disease.

In addition, we discuss the importance of maintaining a healthy body. Reinforcing the idea of thinking good, feeling good and looking good.

“Free to Be Me” Empowerment Sessions
A forum for women to learn the value of being themselves. Motivational speakers & performers
instill the importance of individuality. The sessions highlight the importance of reflecting from within to better accept, understand, and communicate positive differences in attributes, characteristics, talents and style.
